MAXXOM at “all about automation” for the First Time

Why visiting MAXXOM “at all about automation” is worth it

The development of production systems that enable economically sustainable series production is becoming increasingly important. This is exactly where MAXXOM comes in. This year, the company will be exhibiting at “all about automation” in Wels for the first time. Managing Director Matthias Kitzler shares insights into current customer challenges and explains why a visit to the booth is worthwhile.

MAXXOM is participating in all about automation in Wels for the first time this year. What motivated you to take part now?
The all about automation trade fair, with its locations in key industrial regions across Germany and Austria, provides the ideal platform for MAXXOM to present our portfolio in a targeted way. We are deliberately positioning ourselves here for the first time as an automation specialist for assembly and injection molding solutions in the Austrian market. At the same time, we see the exhibition as an excellent opportunity to strengthen existing relationships and establish new partnerships.

What developments in automation are currently most relevant for your customers?
Our customers operate in an increasingly dynamic and volatile market environment. This results in several key focus areas:

  • Scalable automation to respond flexibly to market changes
  • Fast return on investment, projects with an ROI exceeding 24 months are increasingly being questioned
  • Retrofit solutions instead of new investments to efficiently upgrade existing systems
  • Integration of AI into production systems
  • Resilient supply chains to reduce dependencies

These topics clearly show that it is no longer just about automation, it is about economically sustainable and future-proof solutions.

How does MAXXOM specifically support its customers and where does your greatest added value lie?Our key strength lies in combining engineering expertise with real series production experience. As part of the Pollmann Group, we draw on decades of experience in industrial series production. This means we develop solutions not only from a technical perspective, but always with a focus on stability, efficiency, and scalability in real production environments. In recent years, we have also strategically expanded our international partner network, both in Eastern Europe and Asia. This enables us to offer our customers competitive, flexible and resilient solutions.

A key element is our partnership with Meierhofer Automation, which allows us to implement projects with high speed and cost efficiency (“China speed”) while maintaining our quality standards and after-sales capabilities. In addition, we collaborate with partners such as Optonic in the field of innovative feeding solutions (bin picking), creating further flexibility in component handling.

Is there a project or application that illustrates what is already possible in automation today?
A particularly impressive example is a complex automation solution in injection molding for an automotive customer:

  • From pre-stamped strip material to a ready-to-deliver end product, including feeding and assembly of four individual components
  • Implementation of a highly automated system concept
  • Five robots and four feeding systems working in perfect synchronization with an injection molding machine

The result: a fully integrated, stable, and highly productive process enabling series production at the highest level.

Why should visitors definitely stop by your booth?
Quite simply: “Great conversations lead to great solutions.” At the MAXXOM booth, visitors can gain a clear understanding of our capabilities and solutions. We will showcase:

  • Live demonstration of bin picking using a real exhibit
  • Insights into various automation solutions
  • Exhibits from our partners Schmidt, Grimm, and BalTec
  • Virtual system tours using VR headsets, a real highlight

Our goal is not just to present technologies, but to work together with visitors to develop concrete solutions for their challenges.
